This exercise is about learning how to mix colors for shading. My daughter did this one with me and she learned how to mix paint to get certain levels of opacity percentages.
What I get most out of these exercises is the chance to sit down and paint and draw without an agenda or expected result. It’s just fun and it gets my creative juices flowing. Plus there’s the added bonus of doing the exercises with my daughter, so she and I get to spend creative time together.
This is one of the more simple exercises I’ve done so far, but we had fun with it.
